My philosophy

Understanding another person is a delicate task – not only because of interpretation but also because people are complex. To strike this delicate balance, I empathise with intention in order to help you consider other alternatives and perspectives so that you can view things objectively and without fear.

As a counsellor, my work is filled with delving into the highs and lows of all facets of my client’s lives, who often present strong emotions. I helps my clients to address and express their emotions, often reducing the stress they feel physically.

My method of engaging with people requires me to be fully present and available to my clients. To ensure I am energised and engaged, I ensure I balance my life, work and professional development and always operate in a spirit of openhearted goodwill. Exercise, caring for orphaned and injured native animals, and giving back to her community keeps me focused on good things and positive outcomes.

I draw on my knowledge and experience of approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, to help clients achieve change and liberation.
